The Sun is our inexhaustible energy resource and if we utilize it, pure energy can be gained. By utilizing solar energy we can reduce the usage of hydrocarbon energy sources (oil, gas, coal etc.) therefore there is a drop of CO2 emission produced by burning them. When fossil fuels are burned CO2 enters the atmosphere and contributes to the global warming (The Greenhouse Effect). If we apply solar collectors, we play a role in environmental protection and also act for our future. In addition, we can not ignore the continuous rise of fuel costs.

Sunshine is not beyond your reach

The Sun is the main energy resource of the Earth. Solar radiation reaching the Earth surface means such a power that significantly exceeds the present energy demand of the population. In summer solar radiation peak is above 1000W/m2 during midday hours. (1 person’s average daily hot water consumption can be provided with 1 m2 solar collector). It can be seen on the map that the middle part of Hungary is the sunniest but deviation is less than 10% regarding other areas. Consequently, there is no considerable difference in collector efficiency in different segments of the country. From sunlight utilization aspect, therefore, Hungary has got a favourable geographical location.
